Shark Hosting and Chick Hosting have become part of Verpex. These brands were run by Chris and his team since 2018 and, when he moved on for personal reasons, the businesses were acquired by Verpex. Shark Hosting and Chick Hosting have 10,000 customers between them, and specialise in low cost high quality hosting. At Verpex we are delighted to offer a stable long-term home to these customers.
Verpex acquired these businesses on July 22, and until now we have been running these as standalone brands.
Today, we have completed the migration of Shark Hosting and Chick Hosting into Verpex. All clients can now log in to the Verpex client area to manage their hosting accounts and domain names. The Shark Hosting and Chick Hosting websites have been shut down and redirected to Verpex.
What this means for me?
Client Area
Your new client area is at https://clients.verpex.com - your existing login details will let you in. You can request a password reset if you cannot remember your login.
Web Hosting (cPanel) Login
You can log in to cPanel using your cPanel login (usually yourdomain.com/cpanel) or you can also log in through the Verpex client area, under 'Products and Services' -> 'Click the account' -> 'Manage' -> 'Login'
Pricing
There will be no price increases for any customer moved to us. All renewal dates remain the same. Your renewal will happen automatically as usual. If you had previous invoices generated, you should find these in the Verpex system.
Historic shark hosting plans are also available to order but only from your account. They are no longer available for any new clients.
Upgrades and Downgrades
You can now upgrade and downgrade to other Verpex plans, including reseller accounts and our managed servers. Please contact our support team for any questions.
Support
Verpex has a 24/7 technical support team running globally. We have offices in multiple locations in order to provide excellent assistance at all times. Our team can also undertake free migrations from other hosting providers to Verpex.
Servers
We will be upgrading some servers to our latest server technology. We will be in touch before any upgrades. However, you do not need to change any settings or change anything.
Affiliates
Shark Hosting paid a £5 commission per affiliate sale. Verpex is much more generous (up to $150 per sale) and we would like anyone interested to sign up for the Verpex affiliate system. Please sign up at https://affiliates.verpex.com/affiliates/
