We choose providers for a number of reasons, often ones that might not seem obvious. In all locations we need high spec servers: so NvME drives, Epyc CPUs. We also need to be able to get bandwidth and disk space at a reasonable cost so that we can keep our prices low for resellers, but most of these providers (excluding hyperscalers) cost us the same so it's not really about price.

Some of the reasons that might define why we choose a particular provider in a particular location: decent DDOS inline filtering, speed of resolution and response; the green energy in the underlying data centers; how quickly an infrastructure provider handles abuse complaints and if they can give us access via an API. In India the government is quite trigger happy in blocking IPs for websites that might have a political purpose, so we have to choose providers where we can get additional IPs.

In summary, we are always choosing the best underlying network for your website in the location you choose to host in.

We used to. But the bandwidth costs were extortionate so much so that it was not a viable option for shared and reseller hosting. We offer managed servers on these providers and we can pass the bandwidth costs on.

In theory you could - we are very open about what we run. There is nothing stopping you going to one of the providers above and setting up a server and installing the software we do. We've automated the process and do it at scale, then back it up with great support, migrations, monitoring etc. We have a team of 30+ staff.
